So many times I’ve had a client sit in my chair and just fold into it, deflated. It’s obvious that my client has had a long day and I’ll ask them how they’re day is going. There are so many answers I get but it’s either work-related stress or it’s an overwhelmed mother whose break is coming in to get her hair done. Listening to our clients talk about their day or life experiences is how we get to know each and every single one of our clients. Whether they’re long time clients or new friends, being there for them is just another reason why we love to do what we do. Not only do we have the opportunity to give them a great look, but we also have the opportunity to become a part of someone’s big day, whether it is a bride on her wedding day or a senior graduate getting ready to attend their very first prom. Other times we laugh about a self-trim bang job. Sometimes we cry over a bad box color mistake. At Backstage Hair Design, we will always give it our 100% to come up with various solutions to help our clients out by taking each step with care until we’ve returned the client’s hair integrity and satisfactory color. The joy of correcting a bad box color mistake is one of the best feelings in the world. It is gratifying to know that we’ve made a difference in our client’s life, even if it’s a simple gesture like listening, which makes the visit even more meaningful.
